Before you start

Open your own community with access to Admin → Resources. Have a file ready to share. This walkthrough uses a one-page PDF checklist; the form also accepts Word documents, PowerPoint files and images, up to 50 MB.

Publishing makes the resource available to its selected audience. Review the file and access settings before you publish.

From a file to a Library resource

  1. Upload your file

Open Resources → New resource, choose your file and wait for Ready. LaunchBox uses the first page of a PDF as its Library cover. Upload or create thumbnail offers custom-cover options; the example keeps the PDF cover.

  2. Give it a clear purpose

Add a title and explain what someone will walk away with. Choose a resource kind, such as Checklist, and optionally add a collection name. Use How should someone use it? to give a practical next step.

You can add a supporting link with a label and full web address. It is optional and does not replace the required file.

  3. Choose who can use it

All members includes signed-in members of the workspace. Pro and VIP members and VIP members restrict membership access. One-time purchase only requires a separate purchase rather than including the resource with a membership.

Anyone with the link enables free public sharing. In this example, All members is selected, with paid purchase and public sharing off.

  4. Publish to Library

Check the file, title, instructions and intended audience, then choose Publish to Library. Wait for the Published to the Library confirmation. A feed announcement is a separate action.

  5. Open the finished resource

Choose Member library, search for the title and select Resources to narrow the list. Choose Open resource. Check the PDF, outcome, instructions and supporting link. The Download control opens the original file.

The video shows an owner account with Admin access. Check restricted resources with an appropriate member account before relying on their access settings.

If something needs attention

Can I publish only a link?

This new-resource form requires a primary file. Add a link as supporting material alongside the file.

I can see the resource, but can my members?

An owner’s Admin access does not prove member access. Review the selected audience and check using an appropriate member account. Public and paid access were not exercised in this walkthrough.

Where is the feed announcement?

Publishing adds the resource to the Library. Create a feed announcement separately when you are ready to tell members about it.

A useful resource. Easy to return to.

Give your members something useful they can return to. In this guide, we'll add a PDF checklist to the LaunchBox Library, explain how to use it, choose its audience, and open the finished resource.

Start with a useful file

In Admin, open Resources and choose New resource. Start with a file. This form accepts a PDF, Word document, PowerPoint, or image, up to fifty megabytes. We're using a one-page checklist called Review your AI output. Wait until the file says Ready. LaunchBox uses the PDF's first page as its Library cover. You can also open Upload or create thumbnail to explore a custom cover. Here, we'll keep the PDF cover.

Give it a clear purpose

Give the resource a clear title, then explain what someone will walk away with. Choose a resource kind, like Checklist, and add a collection name if it helps organize your content. A short How should someone use it instruction gives members a useful next step. You can add a supporting link with its own label and full web address. The link is optional; it doesn't replace the required file.

Choose who can use it

Next, choose how people get it. All members includes everyone signed into this workspace. Pro and VIP settings limit membership access. One-time purchase only is a separate purchase, not something included with a membership. Anyone with the link enables free public sharing, so use it only when that is what you intend. For this example, All members stays selected, with paid and public sharing off. Check the details, then choose Publish to Library.

Open the finished resource

The Published to the Library message confirms the save. Posting to the feed is a separate action. Open Member library, search for the title, and choose Resources to narrow the list. Then select Open resource. Here is our PDF, alongside the outcome and usage instructions. The supporting link appears below, and Download is available at the top. We're viewing this through an owner account. Check restricted content with an appropriate member account before relying on its access settings.

Ready to find. Ready to use.

That's the workflow: a useful file, clear context, the right audience, and one final check in the Library. Your resource is ready for members to find and use. Announce it to the feed separately when you're ready.
